One of the biggest frustrations for sellers is dealing with buyers who commit to purchasing an item but never complete the transaction. That’s why Tuners Vault uses a buyer commitment system designed to encourage genuine participation.
Tuners Vault operates a split-settlement model designed to support its auction marketplace operations. Under this model, the total hammer price of a successfully auctioned/Buy-It-Now lot item is settled in two stages.
Buyers are required to place a commitment deposit once they have won a lot item or completed a Buy-It-Now purchase. Once the settlement invoice has been issued to both parties, the remaining payment may be paid to the seller. Then the seller will ship the item. This helps discourage non-serious activity and promotes a marketplace where commitments are respected.
